Mississippi Valley Christian Service Camp 2023

    Dear Camp Friends and Partners,

Thank you for your kind and generous support!  MVCSC exists by the will of God and the sacrifice of His people. Through the last seven decades countless numbers of people have donated to, worked with, prayed for, guided and loved this camp as well as the people we serve.

This year we held all of our regular season camps. In addition, we hosted several rentals and retreats. Family Camp continues to support parents and grandparents as they raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

For our Mission Trip this year we travelled to Eastern Kentucky to serve at Bethany Christian Mission with Commission Encounter. The people who went represented your camp and churches very well. The team members were cleaning, painting and doing repairs needed due to massive flooding the area endured. We were grateful to be a part of preparing their facility for the school year and to serve at food pantries and various care ministries.

The Spaghetti Dinner in April at the Crossroads Center was a great success and is planned again for 2024, the date will be announced. Thank you to all who make that event possible, and to all who attend. We continued our involvement in Fall festivals and parades. A hearty “Thank You” to the teams for all they do! Please consider getting involved with this terrific opportunity to raise top-of-mind awareness and support for your camp.

As always, we are committed to improving, repairing, and upkeeping the camp. The girl’s dorm and first aid stations both received new roofs. We also did a considerable amount of work on the buildings, the septic, and plumbing systems. Our Laser tag and archery programs remain a big hit. This year we purchased a bubble machine and a *new BLOB* for next year! Work was completed on the new memorial wheelchair access and sidewalk on the north and west sides of the chapel.

We are very grateful for your help at MVCSC.  You play an important role in the success and growth here at the camp. God can use anyone at church camp. Here are a few ideas to help you to get involved at your camp. Host a retreat for your church, start a day camp teaching campers about Jesus and your favorite hobby or skill, serve as a dean, family leader, teacher, nurse, dorm parents, or help with games and activities, serve in the kitchen, help clean, come talk to and pray with campers, share your faith at campfire,  lead music, help get the camp grounds and buildings ready, mow, weed-eat, help us install the new playground, blade the roads, improve drainage, maintain Lake Leo and many other small or large jobs. Call Jim, or talk to your church camp representative and we’ll hook you up!  Please keep MVCSC in mind for your giving, and as always remember us in your prayers.
