Phase 4

    Dear Church Family,

The Elder Team met on Tuesday evening and discussed our continued progression to gathering together in person for Sunday Morning Worship.

With our region of Illinois moving to Phase 4, our sanctuary will officially be open for those who feel comfortable worshipping with us there. For those who would like to worship in person but prefer to gather in smaller numbers, we will be offering the Crossroads Center Gym (for 50 or fewer) and the Fellowship Hall (for 20 or fewer) as venues to stream the service.

In the spirit of Christian love and charity, we would ask that those worshipping with us in person would observe social distancing, as well as consider the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health, such as the wearing of a mask when within 6 feet of another person. Guidelines are posted in the entryways to the sanctuary and in streaming venues.

We will continue to stream our services online via Facebook and YouTube. This is a good choice for those in high-risk groups or who are traveling.

For those who do not have internet access, we are offering the option to come to the Crossroads Center parking lot to listen to the live service on their car’s FM radio. We will be broadcasting the live 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM services on 90.9 FM. According to guidelines, the broadcast will be able to be heard only within 300 feet from the Sanctuary.

Whichever way you worship with us, please let us know of any prayer concerns. Contact an Elder or use Facebook’s or YouTube’s messaging or comment features. (Please realize all online participants will see messages posted here.)

We still will not be serving coffee or beverages in our worship spaces but feel free to bring your own.

We also encourage those choosing to worship with us to bring their own communion supplies.

There will be a box for collecting Tithes and Offerings on the back mantles as well as in the overflow room and streaming venues.

We will be opening up the nursery this Sunday in a limited capacity as we are able to staff.

Sunday School has resumed, but Children’s Church will not be offered until the fall.

We realize that these past few months have been challenging for us all. This is especially true for our elderly, homebound, and those with family in care facilities. We continue to encourage all of our Church Family to strengthen our bonds of Christian Love and Charity in the days ahead.

1 John 4:11-12 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. -ESV
