    Dear Church Family,

    Luke 12:35-40
"Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning,  36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks.  37  Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.  38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them awake, blessed are those servants!  39  But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into.  40 You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."    ESV

This past Monday marked a moment we’ve all been praying and waiting for—after what has felt like an eternity of planning, hoping, and preparing, work on our building project has finally begun! Just hours before the crews arrived, I found myself wondering, Will this ever actually start? And then—almost like a scene shift in a movie—the alley between the church and the playground was full of trucks, tools, and more than a dozen workers from four different companies.  They were all laboring with energy and focus like an orchestra performing a symphony.

It was a powerful reminder that God works in His perfect timing. Though we may feel weary in the waiting, our job has always been to prepare. Just as Noah built the ark before the rain came, and just as the wise virgins in Jesus’ parable kept their lamps filled with oil, we have stayed faithful—praying, giving, planning, and trusting. Now we are beginning to see the fruit of that preparation.

But this is just the beginning.

Let us continue to prepare—not just physically, but spiritually. As walls go up, let’s be reminded and encouraged to lift up prayers. As foundations are poured, let’s ask God to build something eternal in and through us. This project is not just about bricks and beams; it’s about creating space for ministry, for worship, and for lives to be transformed by the Gospel. Like Alicia said last Sunday, “let’s leave this place better than we found it!”

Would you join me in praying:
That God would be glorified in every step of this project

That the work would be safe, efficient, and successful

That our congregation would stay united, expectant, and prayerful

That this building addition would be a beacon of hope in our community for generations to come by promoting fellowship and connection

This is an exciting time for our church family. Let’s continue to prepare our hearts for all that God is doing—not just in the construction, but in the Kingdom work He is building through us.

    To God be the glory!
    Loving you all,

    Michael
