Ukraine Refugee Mission Update from Cindy Chamberlain

    Cześć – Hello!

I just want to follow up with a few updates regarding the foundation called Dobro Czynić Misja in Warsaw (translated into English means Good Works Mission) and Camp Ostróda in Ostróda, Poland.  The following points come directly from Dobro Czynić director Radek Gasza and camp director Bartek Zdanowicz.

    Per Radek:

    • We expect that a wave of refugees will move to Poland with the first sights of winter.
    • We are already seeing that there are more of them than in the summer.
    • The Polish government is reducing its involvement forcing the remaining refugees to squeeze into one hall.
    • The government has not financed the Warehouse of Good since September 1.
    • At our Christian Fellowship South Church, we have not received any meals from the government since mid-September. We finance 120-150 meals a day ourselves.
    • It is becoming more and more difficult to find sponsors for dinners and free shop products.
    • We would love to get some toys, sweets and prepare small gift packages for Ukrainian children (living in the Warehouse of Good) in December.
    • We rely fully on His provision in all aspects.
    • Thank you for keeping your heart close to our case.
    • Please keep us in your prayers – we send blessings to your Congregation.

    Per Bartek:

    • In Ostróda Camp the housing containers have already been dismantled.
    • The houses (cabins) are insulated, doors and windows are replaced and heating is installed.
    • We are now replacing wood on the walls, so that will insolate cabins much better than old and rusty planks.
    • There are approximately 60 refugees in the center as of now, but we expect more of them in winter.
    • We are receiving calls every day from Ukraine for housing and refuge.
    • The weather here is changing, and it’s getting cold in the mornings and evenings. We expect to have another wave of the Ukrainians who will try to find warm shelter for the winter.
    • It costs $270 per month for one refugee to stay at the Camp.
    • We need your help to continue to serve those refugees who are in need.
    • Thank You for all your prayers; I’m asking for more!

As winter approaches, I would like to reinforce the needs that are mentioned above. Please pray daily for these needs to be met. If you are led to donate a one-time gift or monthly donation to the Ukrainian refugee relief efforts, please note “DHF – Ukrainian relief” on your offering envelope.

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and prayers while I was a part of the Discovery Mission to Poland.

Niech cię Bóg błogoslawi – God Bless You
