Pray For...

02.25.25 | Elder's Corner | by Roger Brokaw

After years of praying, planning, pledging, and preparation, we are set to begin building the addition to the church building. Lord willing it will start as soon as the weather warms up with the anticipation that it will be complete by the end of the year. I know many of you have been praying for the Lord’s will to be accomplished in this project. I encourage you to continue those prayers as the work begins. It’s been mentioned several time but let me repeat it. This is about more than a building. This is about furthering God’s work in our community. As Solomon says in Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” We have been praying for the Lord to bring this about in His time and we believe He has. As we proceed there are still some things we can be praying for. This won’t be an exhaustive list just some things that are on my mind.

Let’s pray for Jesus to be glorified in the building of this addition.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to be moving on the hearts of those who work on it, drawing them to Jesus.
Pray for the safety of those who will be working on it.
Pray for effective communication between all involved.
Pray for God to provide quality materials as needed to complete the work.
Pray for the contractors to be blessed as they work on it, spiritually and financially.
Pray for God to give the contractors wisdom as they plan each stage.
Pray for God to use this as opportunity to help grow us in unity as a church.
Pray for God to not allow the enemy to bring division.
Pray that it will be a place that will have a positive impact on the church and the community.

I’m sure you can add to this list. Please be praying. As Michael has said many times - prayer is the engine that leads, not the caboose that follows. Thank you!

    In Him,
    Roger
