In the last many months, I have heard many of the stories of Elijah - 1 Kings 17 & 18.

How he prayed for it not to dew or rain for many years, and it did not.
How God had ravens bring Elijah food two times a day.
Then God fed a widow, her son and Elijah from a small jar of flour and a small jar of oil.
God keeps the widow’s jar of flour and jar of oil from going empty.
How God used Elijah to return life to the widow’s son.
How God sent fire to his wet alter, then consumed Elijah’s sacrifice.
How when he prayed for rain and it did rain after many years.
Then later God sent a whirlwind to take Elijah to heaven.
How great a man of God Elijah was for God to take him home without dying.
Now we look at James 5:17. “Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.”

Maybe we need to let out the greatness that Elijah had in him that we also have in us.
